Cowboy Action
Cowboy action is a popular discipline in New Zealand often favoured by older shooters. It uses a multigun approach with shooters using two single action revolvers, a shotgun, side by side or pump, and a lever action rifle. Different calibres are used from .38 throught to .45 long colt.
There is a sub discipline called Wild Bunch which uses a 1911 .45 calibre semi auto instead of the single action revolvers and is more specific around the calibre of the rifle and model of pump shotgun.
